RIGOL DHO802 & DHO812: sample rate & external trigger

I ask owners of DHO802 & DHO812 models to answer the following question. Does the maximum sample rate of the channel(s) drop when external sync mode (Ext Trig) is enabled?
I didn't find an answer in the documentation. I also couldn't find it on internet sources.

Hello,

in the data sheet, the external trigger is only specified in edge mode. This indicates that the sample rate is not changed.
However, I do not have a device to check this.

Hello, I have a DHO802, I bought it because I am not going to use the 4 channels and because it also saved me some money. If I set the oscilloscope to the 1khz test signal and activate the maximum memory depth of 25Mpts, the oscilloscope sets itself at 1.25 Gsa/s. In the trigger menu I activate the external synchronization input and I do not observe any variation of the 1.25Gsa/s. Of course, if I also activate channel 2 the sampling frequency does drop by half, to 625Msa/s and memory depth at 10Mpts. But it does this regardless of whether the external trigger is activated or not. My conclusion is that activating the trigger does not influence the maximum sampling frequency, only activating the two channels divides that factor in half. I hope I have helped you. Greetings

I think you should be able to get 50Mpts by generating a license key.

At the moment I manage well with 25Mpts. I don't want to lose the warranty...but in the future I will surely expand to 100Mhz and 50Mpts as you suggest. By the way, is there anything new to generate the license key? Thank you
