Certification for a LoRa Transceiver Module

Hi,

I am designing a LoRa transceiver module with providing provision for two RF connectors - 1. Plated through hole(PTH - for Helical antenna) and U.FL(Whip antenna/any LoRa antenna with U.FL connector). At a time only one antenna can be populated as they both share common footprint area.

Will the design be certified Under one certification ID? What can be the pros and cons with this approach?

Anytime there is an RF change, the product has to be re-certified. This is to ensure that the radiation pattern and therefore the radiated power does not violate any FCC limits.
In short, you need to have 2 IDs for the product.
FCC publishes a list of permissible changes from time to time. you may refer to the FCC site for latest update.
