Hakko 851 hot air station
« on: September 06, 2012, 04:29:24 pm »
Just wondering if anyone has/uses a Hakko 851 and can offer an opinion of it?  I'm considering purchasing one for SMT work.

Thanks

These rework pens are a great alternative to hot air wands. Those are really guns.
But frankly IMHO, hakko is making them VERY expensive...

So instead of buying hakko i changed my mind into buying that "SOME OTHER BRAND" that makes their own. (90W iron and 180W rework pen for 200bucks! If you dare to buy direct from china using a agent ...)

and also this : http://www.head-fi.org/t/416001/reviews-some-people-collect-amps-i-collect-soldering-stations/45#post_6084493

And xytronics, but theirs is a little bulky
