Heated ultrasonic cleaners

I wonder if having a heater helps in terms of speed and/or quality of ultrasonic cleaning. Would you recommend a heated unit vs plain vanilla one.

I would recommend a heated, frequency sweeping unit (with a correct cleaning solution for the type of dirt). Read how Temperatures Changes Affect Ultrasonic Cleaning on this webpage:

My cleaning fluid from Allendale (UK) is designed for electronics use and recommends a temperature of 50C to 60C. When using an ultrasonic cleaner that does not have a heater you are recommended to heat the cleaning solution before pouring it into the cleaner or to use a heater that may be dropped into the fluid to heat it before using the cleaner.

Heating makes a huge difference if only in that less time can be spent exposed to the rather harsh ultrasonic cleaning.
