Compression F connector
« on: June 02, 2013, 06:53:55 am »
I am wondering how the shield of the cable makes good contact with the shield of a compression F connector. With most compression connectors a piece of plastic is pressed into the connector to keep the cable secured, but I can't figure out how the actual contact is made.

Inside the connector there is a metal tube that wedges itself between jacket and shield when you push the cable in.
