I'm finding myself in need of cleaning some stuff that doesn't quite fit in my existing ultrasonic cleaner, and I don't much want to pay for a new Branson CPX3800H. (It doesn't help that the last time I decided to "just pay for a good one" I bought a Branson 200 and got burned, because the Branson 200 is rebranded trash.) There's a ton, an absolute ton, of ultrasonic cleaners on AliExpress/eBay/Amazon/etc, but a quick look isn't turning up anything that looks worth buying.
Things I expect to see in a good ultrasonic cleaner:
- Timer (ok, they all have that; digital is much easier to use)
- Heater (yep, not hard; don't really care if it's bang-bang or digital control)
- Degas mode (not always wanted, but a decent sign that the product was intended for professional use)
- Swept frequency (there is some debate that this doesn't really do much, but I have in the past had trouble without it)
- Don't care: "soft mode" / intensity control
- Fits ~240mm long things in its baskets
- Budget: less than that damned Branson
I'm not exactly using this for semiconductor fab clean room work so I don't need the best. It's just hard to sort through the mass of these things all with terrible search functionality and no obvious brands or real reviews on them. Anyone found a good one?
