Is there anyway of restoring the display on a LCD weatherstation (Auriol) - it has areas that are darker? Is it the backlight or the display itself?

I dont know if is an effect of picture, but seems that some segments are missing. You can check / clean the zebra strips, that can cause all screen to be dark or low contrast.
