Fridge Lights
« on: July 03, 2024, 06:58:27 pm »
So I have a bunch of Jen-air fridges with these single LED pucks (W10843339) they are just a single 3030 SMD chip, nothing else. The knock-off ones from amazon work, but don't last. So i figured that i could just solder on new leds that are more in spec, and cheaper in bulk.  I don't know the voltage or mA for the circuit (still trying to figure that out). I do know the old ones have a Forward Voltage of 2.5v and the amazon ones have 5v. The base (solder pads) appears to be of a 1W model. They are wired in series with others in a Christmas light effect. I'm not as smart as a lot of you on here, but I would appreciate any help or insight. Or how i could test them out of circuit to find those values.
