I have a Tek P6248 differential probe that seems to have had its cable yanked. Three of the wires have broken off their pins at the connector on the back of the probe. My problem is that I do not know which goes where. Looking at the back of the connector (solder cup side, not mating side) I have:
Coax signal Coax shield
Purple Black
? Red
? ?
The broken wires are brown, white, and blue.
The 'red' wire is more orange than red, but there is also a loose orange wire that I suspect is a NC.
Given the lack of strain relief on the cable, and the fact that the P6248 I borrowed from a friend also seems to have similar damage, it seems likely that this is a common problem. But not so common that I was able to find the pinout, or enough schematic information to deduce the pinout.
Can anyone tell me which wire goes where?
Thank you,
Steve
