Help identifying a smd component
« on: September 05, 2022, 06:45:45 pm »
Can anyone identify this ic?  Or even the manufacturer logo? It's a SOT-23 on the signal lines of a CAN bus tx.  I looked in several smd marking db's but no luck.  Scratching my head bald over this one.  Thank you very much!  David

That's it, thank you!  Amazing!

Now I'm wondering (out loud) how I could have figured that out myself.  None of the databases I looked at list it (yooneed, smd cookbook, etc).  Is there another reference I should be using or a magic 8 ball with answers?  I'm new at this and still in awe at how much everyone here knows.

If it's on a bus, then it's most likely an ESD protection diode or TVS diode, etc.

duckduckgo -> "tan sot-23 can bus clamp" returns this link:

Thank you both!  Lesson learned.  I was convinced that the t was a logo so didn't include it in my search.  And I stupidly didn't include the keyword "can".  So the answer is...search smarter.  Feeling rather dumb.
