HP8563E On the way.
« on: October 20, 2021, 03:29:45 pm »
I've just gone and done it again. Just bought a HP8563E spectrum analyser from the same seller off that auction site. This one is for spares or repair as the screen is blank. Paid £130 for it including postage.
As the HP8563E and HP8564E share some (or a lot) of the same parts, I'm hoping to get at least ONE (or maybe both if I'm lucky) working properly. I've also ordered an ArtekManual package from

https://artekmanuals.com/manuals/hp-manuals/

And I've joined the HP/Agilent/Keysight test equipment group.io group to hopefully get some assistance in the repairs.

This is probably going to take me a couple of years (or more) to complete. Hope I'm successful.

...

That is so cheap. My HP8562A weights a ton. Shipping couldn't have been cheap. They gave it away. (unless I'm not figuring £ to $US correctly)
