Dirt, corrosion, flux and other random stuff cleaning
« on: October 20, 2020, 12:56:56 am »
Hey All

Just before I run out to buy an ultrasonic cleaner, what do you guys think is the best way of cleaning this attached board? Its a combination of dirt/dust,  corrosion, flux, oil and other random stuff the fan next to it has brought in.

Thanks!

Very much depends on the components.
The flux stuff can be removed with IPA.
That battery corrosion can be removed with hot water and soap, maybe add a bit of vinegar. Wash with destilled water and put some laquer on the bare traces. *But* this very much depends on the parts on the other side and if it might leak through.

Make a tight tuft from a kitchen paper tower.
Spray the area with todays freon and start brushing.
Finally clean shredded and dirty paper bits.
