1 Form C Relay Contact Rating question
«

I'm going through a relay datasheet (see attached) and I'm wondering why would the Form B (NC) contact be rated way below than the NO contact if the relay is single pole? They're claiming 10A for the NO and 3A for the NC. Am I interpreting the data correctly? I'm really expecting 10A contact rating in both NC and NO setup.

A bit of simplifying here, basically due to difference in contact force.
NO contact is held close by solenoid force while NC contact is held close by spring force. Due to how relay works, the spring needs to be weaker than the solenoid.
