Do you recognize this logo?
« on: July 09, 2022, 12:19:13 pm »
The date code indicates Feb 1982 but I do not recognize the logo.  In that time frame, there were lots of little custom shops doing gate arrays and such, so this could have been a small company that came and went.

Any guesses??

This is a chip with a crystal oscillator and divider down to 1Hz and a coil driver...based on the application.

Yes, I saw that.  But there is an arrow in reverse image on that logo which I cannot see in my image, so I figured it was not a hit.  Thanks for looking though!!

For the record, somebody posted a short list of various lists of IC manufacturer logos available on the Internet.
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/opamp-chip-identification/msg3952118/#msg3952118

But I can't find this logo there; clearly it has to be something even more obscure than Analog Systems.

Well, I was the charter member (employee #2) of a small fabless IC company back in 1980.  We stamped our custom chips with our logo that looked like the state of Texas.  Trust me...you will never see that logo in any list.  I suspect this logo I am trying to identify is in the same category of companies!

I feel like that's been done before? :palm:

Yup, that is why we changed our name to Crystal Semiconductor.

Well, good luck then :D

It has occurred to me that the letter could also possibly be lower case 'l'. My first thought was 'e', like yours. It doesn't really look like 'c' IMO.
