Yamaha AS-701 phono input capacitance?
« on: April 21, 2024, 06:10:16 am »
I have a Yamaha AS-701 integrated amp (same as 801 except the DAC).  Some MM phono cartridges are picky about the maximum capacitance; Audio Technica cartridges are said to work best with C at or below 200 pF.  I didn't want to order the service manual just for this.  Do any of you know the exact phono preamp input specifications?  Thanks in advance!

The RCA shielded cable should be the source of most of the capacitance.

I have a very low capacitance set of phono interconnect leads.  I was hoping someone here had a service manual and could look up the specs or look on the schematic.

The Service Manual is available online. Gratis from at least one source.
