Crystal bandpass filter as oscillator
« on: December 15, 2012, 03:26:56 pm »
I am having some problems finding crystals for the same frequency as IF filters in a receiver (10.7, 21.4 or 45MHz).
I wonder if an extra filter can be used in place of a crystal in an oscillator.
Filters are essentially made from a series-connected crystals (usually on the same die) with a shunt cap(s) to widen their bandwidth.

I can't find any references to such use.
