nikola tesla technical book?

I'm wanting to find a book with nikola tesla's designs. Don't really want a biography, or hard to interpret scribbled notes that have been photocopied. 

any suggestions?

I read something about that.  I know it was during war time (1943), but you would think that a freedom of information act lawsuit would open that one up.

I was assuming that somebody has written a comprehensive technical guide to his work that is worth reading?

I am unaware of any such book. However, there are quite a few documentaries seeking to honor his forgotten genious. The best I've seen was on NetFlix called something like "War of the Currents", but this one doesn't look too bad either:

I'm pretty sure there's a small paperback book that covers many of his patents, but I'll have to check my shelf when I get home.

The problem with Tesla is that there is a group of nutcases, fanboys, mystic and conspiracy theorist who spin everything he did and a lot of things he actually didn't do into a mysterious legend.

Tesla was an engineer and inventor. Some of his stuff worked and was great. Other stuff didn't work and was rubbish. And he was a bit of a nutcase. That's it.

The rotating magnetic field was first invented by Galileo Ferraris, and later improved by Tesla, but when you mention the rotating magnetic field today, Tesla is always the hero.
