Since you are in the USA, wWhy not get a real Hakko FX888 via Amazon.com store of Hakko?  At $80, its a great deal compared to what other countries charge for this station and its the real McCoy.
Best Wishes,

Go on. I have 2 of them and i am happy  ;D

Hi everybody!
I found some Hakko 936-937 clones and your advice about it. These are:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390494250520?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Thank you in advance
Cheers
That's not a 937 clone .. it's a 936D (that they thought of) and rebadged it as a 937D but actually inside it only has a tiny little 40VA transformer

You got it quite wrong though, the hakko clone stations usually use the thermocouple type heaters not the PTC types so the sensor resistance is about 2-3ohms
and the heating element is 12-13 or possibly 15 (27V types) ohms too i think

Pro tip:  If you have specific technical questions about a product, put them in your first post.  If you ask general questions you get general answers.  Don't assume that we can read your mind.  Explaining what you need and why you think the device in question will satisfy that need will also help reduce unsolicited advice, although frankly if you are going to get snippy about people telling you what to do you probably should give up asking questions on the internet :)

It is really the unsolicited advice :) "If you have specific technical questions about a product, put them in your first post" - and why you force me to do this or that? Are you a moderator? If am doing something against the rules of this forum please report it to the moderator or forum admin. But if you are the regular visitor of this forum as me please avoid the way you doing - to teach people what to do :)
