Having problems importing a dxf file from a 3rd party, lets call it 3rd.dxf. When I import 3rd.dxf to circuit studio, it gives me some extra low res bs with no curves.
3rd.dxf:
Size: 193 KB
Rough dimensions: 30mm x 40mm
Shape: roughly an oval but more complex.
Circuit studio: no curves, looks like a pentagon.
Random online dxf viewer: looks good but very skinny lines, hard to see.
FreeCAD: not visible, shape not listed in model tree, doesn't seem to be loaded.
I drew my own similar version in FreeCAD called mine.dxf
mine.dxf:
Size: 5 KB
Rough dimensions: 30mm x 40mm
Shape: similar to 3rd.dxf but using simple shapes.
Circuit studio: looks good
FreeCAD: looks good and shape is listed in model tree as expected
I tried uninstall/reinstall TeighaX and it didn't make a difference. Any one have any ideas why mine.dxf works but 3rd.dxf doesn't? The fact FreeCAD can't load it either makes me think it's not just a circuit studio bug. 3rd.dxf is a much bigger file than mine.dxf. Could that be the problem?
Funny part is I have gerbers too but cs doesn't make it easy to import them like KiCAD and other free EDA do.
