SPOT THE DIFFERENCE game
« on: June 11, 2024, 03:01:04 am »
I hope to post a weekly Spot The Difference challange. I hope you will like them, even if it frustrates you  ;)
Under the image is a link that will reveal the differences.

#1 The bottom image has 10 alterations. Can you spot them.

Sorry, but I do not know how to leave a link that requires to be clicked to open. This forum seems to automatically open it for all to see prematurely.
If there is no solution to this 'Blownfuse' I will just have to post the 'differences image' just before I post another game next week.

Okay, I found out via @tautech about adding a thumbnail that is expandable. So here is the differences...

Found 8 of them... Can't find the last 2.
EDIT: Found 1 more... One to go.

EDIT2: Got all 10.
I must say, you're pretty good with the photo editing. What program do you use?

A missed opportunity to rotate one of the screws 20deg.

I got 7 and then had to get back to work.

10 for 10.  What do I win?

the immense satisfaction that what a machine can do in a few milliseconds...you can do too !!!
If three 100  Ohm resistors are connected in parallel, and in series with a 200 Ohm resistor, how many resistors do you have?

Yes. I can derive satisfaction from solving a pointless puzzle.  I don't believe the machine ever will.

I'd rather spend the time figuring out how to get the machine to solve the puzzle than solve the puzzle :)

So there is only risk of losing.
I guess the only winning move is not to play.

Careful, I saw a review about an AI which learned to play 3D games by analyzing the game's visual display output.  It was a review on the YouTube channel '2 minute papers'.  In the test game, one of the walls/surfaces had an optional video ad playing in it.  It was accidentally discovered that the AI would stop it's player movements at these AD playing walls and stare into them, basically being addicted to what it was seeing.  One could say that the AI PC player was enjoying itself staring at TV commercials.

The bent cap is original, it was replaced by C271.

Easy enough to tell as C271 has a melted solder burn through it's plastic just above it's right leg.
2 different caps wouldn't have the same melted plastic burn.

If I were to replicate this game, I would have been able to replicate all the edits with my old PaintShop Pro 6 from 1999.  It's stencils brushes with feathering blended edges and multi-layers would do the trick.

I know Adobe Photoshop Elements which came with my laptop could also do it, but I am too lazy to learn how to use it.

After I wrote the post and looked at the images again I realized this to be the case. At first I figured it the other way round, that the bend was in the changed image and that would have been very good editing indeed.

Unless you count the 4 separate missing reflection streaks on the brown loop of wire as 4 separate changes, I only found 6 changes.

Also, I think you posted the wrong answer message as it is the answer to a different puzzle.

OH NO!
Thanks for telling me. I will correct that now.
