Hi Dave, and forum readers !
I'm relatively new, but already becoming addicted to the eev video blogs
I have a Fluke 110 here, that I want to replace, but my local dealer (conrad.nl) charges 685 euro for a Fluke 87V/E, that can't be right, can it?
This searching for meters, got me thinking,
could we build a list of recommend tools, suppose I need a scope, or an ESR meter, or a multimeter, what's a good buy right now?
Of course it would have to have different quality grade stuff, so like:
MultiMeters:
Good stuff: Fluke 87, expect to pay ~ $300
Low-cost: [name of some non-Chinese cheapish but still OK multimeter under ~ $100, do they exist?]
Scope:
Top notch: Tektronics TDS3000, for about ~ $3000 (just guessing, not saying it is good advise)
Low-cost: Rigol DS1052E, for about ~325
Every good recommendation would probably need a short story/description of the type of use, for example, like dave blogs the Fluke 233 might be
nice for industrial electrical use, but maybe the 87 might better for electronics.
What do you think?
greetings,
Jan
