So I put a satellite in space
« on: April 01, 2016, 06:40:33 am »
No, not really, but I made an april fool's gag for my game server, saying we started a space program.  Thought you guys might enjoy this, I even mention batteriser (so the satellite can last 800% longer without changing the batteries) .  :-DD

In theory a pop can would make a decent shielding for something you put in space though.  :-//

Did you run your simulations with Jebediah? Or Bill? Because if you chose the wrong one, oh boy...

Original plan was to send Jebediah but he died on a previous mission.  Apparently you should not EVA while re-entering the atmosphere, who knew?   He only wanted some fresh air and go on a smoke break, it was kinda cramped in there.

I appreciate the fact that (apparently) you spent a lot of time, effort and web designing work, into creating that "article/page".

From the page...

(Space intentionally left blank)

That's a clever pun, assuming you did it intentionally.

Haha yeah that was intentional.   :P    I spent way more time on this than I care to admit but it was fun.   The domain was like $2 because namecheap had a sale, so it kinda all fell together.  :D

There's no reason you couldn't be part of a tea who put a satellite in space.

Elektor actually did have a section called Canned Circuits, where the only restriction on the project you submitted was that it had to fit in one or more standard cooldrink ( for the youngsters, if you were over 18/21 you could use other) cans to house it. There were a few innovative designs submitted.
