Jim Marshal
« on: April 05, 2012, 09:12:54 pm »
I have just seen on the TV that Jim Marshal of the amplifier fame has died at age 88. When I was a teenager I used to cycle to the next village (Milton) where he had a factory for making speakers and scavenge broken speaker magnets. The factory was just one end of a long prefab building on what was once a quarry the other end was used by a firm called Cambridge forklifts, Behind that was the remains of the quarries power plant which was driven by a beautiful old Paxman diesel.
