« on: December 02, 2020, 04:06:53 am »

Chang'e 5 lands on the moon to collect lunar samples

Let see in next two weeks (mid Dec 2020), if its capable of sending the sample back, and lands safely on earth.

I hope they have a bit better luck with their space-going contraptions than the Indians.

But what has landed recently in Australia?
What did the Chinese talk about recently?
And sorry for my English.

That was the Hayabusa2 mission, returning from asteroid Ryugu. When it sampled the asteroid, it was 19 light minutes away. Used an explosively formed projectile to annihilate newer material and get closer to the asteroid's core. Super cool expedition.

I hope that Chang’e thing does land in Australia. Then they can have it back, but only under certain conditions...  :box:

Yep, quite long complex steps as it involves landing on the moon, launch & ascent from the moon, transfer/docking at moon orbit and then return home.

Simply destroy the caspule and its contents because Customs found there were regulatory compliance issues (no RCM regulatory mark on the capsule, and importation of foreign soil products that bypassed customs) and send the Chinese Communist Party the bill :-DD.

You have to understand these reactions by our fellow Ozzies here, as currently Australian government is at high tension with China, especially their PM and may be lots of Ozzies too, are so angry because China "naughtily"  :P posted an ->"illustration"  at internet/twitter that reflects on the ->fact & truth, or the-> (official Oz gov. document in PDF) that is released officially by Australian Defence Force.

Just search for words "throats slit" at the above linked document.

Its no more than, say like a caricature but based on fact & truth.

And you just made me to jump in this thread. Good job, and get a life, son.

Me thinketh someone's nose is 'out of joint' here, because people are stating the obvious.  8)
Not to mention your condescending 'son' reference!  Having an old style tag like 'VK3DRB' he is obviously an 'older' radio
guy over here, and probably older than you. Your Culture is supposed to respect your elders, and 'SON' doesn't cut it mate.

Surely China can understand that the Western World in general, but at least pertaining at present to Australia, that their
present & continuing pressures (abuse!) towards Australian Exports is GOING to awaken proverbial 'Sleeping Dogs'.
The Chinese, although 'trading' with us mere scum bags in the West, have always been bullies in this World of ours.
We can 'sort' of understand it, as that is how they have 'ruled' their own provinces for a LONG time. They 'almost' got it
right in temporarily accepting Hong-Kong, but we (the World!) has witnessed that friendly alliance blown out the water
recently, when they thought they were loosing control. (Heaven forbid!).

By their very nature, having been in 'control' for so long, they literally can not understand or stand that some other Country
of equivalent infidels DARE to question them!? And why???  because Australia DARED to initially question the knowledge of
this recent fucking virus??  (Trump calls it the 'China-Virus' being a smart arse, but no restrictions on the U.S.!).

You see, Australia has not, and will not, respond to or bow down to BULLIES!!  So now Australia has DARED to open up
countless new trade agreements with greatly reduced tariff agreements with NUMEROUS other countries now!!...   >:D
How dare we!!   If one doesn't know what 'FU' means, then look it up... :-DD
Diagonal of 1x1 square = Root-2. Ok.
Diagonal of 1x1x1 cube = Root-3 !!!  Beautiful !!

Fine, thanks for asking.

Did we hurt the feeling of a fuckwit or a few from an island country in the middle of nowhere? We must have felt terribly sorry.

LOL.

And? What grants you to call me a f*wit? Personal experience perhaps?

It's basically succinct and fits. Anyone with more than half a brain can see that an attempt at rational discourse here would be an exercise in futility and I'm indifferent to your feelings on that matter.

What? I can't believe what I just read :palm:.
I did see my fair share of irrationality from time to time, but calling rational discourse futile is truly the first time.
Some native speakers please tell me if this dude means what he posted verbally.

It's difficult to explain if we cannot be sure if you are going to be taking offense on behalf of your Dear Leaders at statements aimed at them and not you particularly.

Dear Leaders at statements aimed at them

Why is that necessary in the first place? Are you trying to change us? What makes you think you have the rights to lesson us? Imperialism? Colonialism? Or what?
If you are not happy with us, don't trade with us. Nobody forces Made-in-China down your throat other than your own businessmen and government leaders.
If Australia can't play nice with China with a mutual respect, equality and abolishment of the egoistic attitude, you are welcomed not to trade with us. GLGGHF.

OK. I don't wanna see this thread get locked. However..

A couple of things. Earlier this year, I stuck out my neck for you because I valued your opinion, as much as everyone else's, and asked the forum management to examine the stance on certain tenacious topics.

Whilst my grumble caused a raucous, I was spared the axe-swing to the neck and was tactfully responded to with a rational explanation of the alternative standpoint at the same time appreciating my position. It's water under the bridge.

It's part of western culture to criticize the establishment. Western culture is also the reason why I'm not offended if you prefer to favor national pride by default instead of a rational discourse.

What does 'GLGGHF' mean?
