Capacitor Manufacturer Rating

The first link is a survey for capacitor manufacturers. Please rate based on overall experience. (will finish the EEVBLOG poll in a little bit)

Some list of caps

Let me know if I missing any common or large manufacturers.

IF YOU HAVEN'T USED DONT RATE.
Just good bad overall experience. I know it is a crap question but we are in the general discussion area.

I've only heard of like, 5 of these brands?

Also hopefully nobody has an email that's none@none.com because that's my default for putting into these sorts of things.

The "value" is pretty arbitrary when you aren't giving any other info on how you want us to rate them.

Yea, what does value mean here?

Besides I only have personal design experience with about 5 of those, all were just fine and the question really came down to who had what I needed at the right price and with stock available.

Now electrolytic caps are one of those things too easy to screw up, so I don't even tend to look at the stuff not from the big players with good history, sure I might miss a bargain, but lacking the ability to do full life cycle testing it just is not worth the savings in the volumes I deal with.

It is I suspect a slightly more fraught question when there is major volumes or major value engineering to hit target BOM in play.

Regards, Dan.

There is no point or value in this poll if you can select only one answer as there are multiple top manufacturers which are on par. Even more, you put poly cap in the list  :palm: Also you listed United chemi-con but not Nippon chemi-con (United chemi-con is their North American subsidiary).

I've personally seen about 70% of those
