Another Audiofool ?
« on: June 11, 2013, 12:13:49 am »
So, now mains filtering now affects the audio quality. Should we ask our grid supplier to use gold instead of that oxidised steel cable to connect the overhead lines ?  :-DD

This isn't new, these daft morons are all over the place. He even makes it look semi-legitimate at first by using something resembling a proper mains filter circuit, but it still has limited usefulness outside of SMPS designs.

For the very best audio quality, you need a dedicated generator to power your equipment. The windings should be wound by hand from the finest high fidelity magnet wire ($5/ft) and the engine powered by gasoline cleaned by our special filters ($10 ea., replace daily). The dedicated circuit and the household mains wiring should not coexist in the same room, or harmful beat frequencies may develop between them, leading to a severe loss in high frequency response and a deep feeling of shame.

And no, gold wiring is not necessary, though the cables must be hermetically sealed to prevent corrosion; receptacles should have gold-plated contacts.

Hmmm ... is the copper impregnated with the proper amount of spin-oriented depleted uranium pairs?

Cool.

Money is no object provided the cable can efficiently send frequencies higher than any human can hear.  :-DD

No! No no no. Any use of these High Performance Cables at frequencies above 100 MHz can permanently entangle the atoms and destroy low frequency performance!
