So, I stuffed up. I am in the process of building a machine for someone and neglected to check if the CPU I ordered was fully compatible, it's not.
So I have an Intel Xeon E5-1620V4 which I can't use or return to the supplier. The machine POSTs but freezes during one of the self-tests. After discussions with Supermicro, it looks like the CPU is not compatible with the Baseboard Management Controller.
Would anyone be willing to do a trade or part with any spare CPU's they have? The board is a
Supermicro X10DRH-C. The specs state that an Intel Xeon X5-2600 series CPU is supported (socket LGA 2011).
