LFS: 12 pin FFC/FPC cable 1.25mm or 1.27mm pitch ~92mm length

I am trying to repair a cd changer/radio made by Clarion and I am looking for a replacement FFC/FPC cable.


Specs:

• 12 pin
• 1.25mm or 1.27mm pitch, it's very difficult to measure precisely
• thickness is 0.22mm to 0.25mm, the ends have a rigid peace so they are thicker.
• connections are on the same side
• Width of cable is 16.2mm

The cable has the following markings, which don't really tell me much

• AWM
• E41447
• 20624
• 60V
• 80C
• VW-1

Temperature and voltage are self explanatory but what do the rest mean?

AFAIK the flat flex cable would have been specifically designed for the device it is used in. Therfore it would be pure luck to find one readily available with the same specs.
Your best bet would be to try to get the original spare part. Most reputable manufaturers do actually still do spares, if Clarion is such a manufacturer I do not know.

I didn't contact Clarion and I don't know how useful they would be. If anyone sees this in the future this may be of use for them.

I contacted a company called PacParts Inc. They deal with replacement parts for entertainment systems.

This part is for a Clarion 6-CD changer system designed for Nissan/Infiniti Vehicles. My particular vehicle is a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe and it has a radio/head unit with a part number of PN-2459EA.

They have the cable in stock.
