SG3525 or KA3525

I am trying to figure out of how i can make a inverter circuit with these SG3525 or KA3525 chips. i know it can be done since i took them out of old inverters and/or car amps.

but how do they work? and how can i reverse engineer them to use as a homemade setup? what i want to do with them is to have them set up to run at 60Hz frequency.

any ideas?

Nickkk,

How about starting with a data sheet on that 3525, study the minimum and maximum ratings and the recommended operating conditions.  60hz "f_osc" is a tad below the minimum oscillator conditions.
