Hi, quick question. Is it important to have an electrolytic capacitor in a simple RC network (consisting of one resistor and one capacitor in series with a voltage source)
Would it work with a non polarised capacitor?

Yes, a polarised capacitor can be easily replaced with a non-polarised capacitor.
