Identifying what inductor/coil/Ferrite bead this is....

Good evening,

I'm currently trying to fix my monitor and have had limited success. It's gone from constantly flashing to only a few times coming from standby. I'm in the process of replacing the caps on both the power supply and the io board ( not sure what to call it) and noticed a few that I believe are actually inductors but I seem to have a hard time identifying them or their values.

They're in what appears to be a blue plastic container with a sticker that says "73G259-901-BX-1420". I believe their inductors due to the stencilling on the board - ex L6030 <- I'm assuming that the L stands for inductor.

Would someone be willing to help understand how to identify these? Everything I've seen online states that there should be 3 numbers and possibly a letter but if that's the case then why did they bother including the 73... BX-... 14... in there?

Sorry if this is an obvious question. It's just tired of having to disassemble my monitors so much... I have 3 and they all decided to start having issues at the 10+ year mark.

Electrolytic caps do degrade with age but inductors very little if at all. I very much doubt that the symptoms you describe are due to inductors.

Those are coils, because they are marked with Lnnnn on the PCB's silkscreen.  Probably 900uH (901 being 90x10¹ uH).

Coils don't need to be replaced.  Only the electrolytic capacitors dries out and/or bulge with time.

sometimes coils have defective or broken core. Core can be damaged due to overheating. Also some coil produce buzz sound and needs to be replaced to solve it...
