No need to proble a 3 phse gen, the alternators rectify to DC and use a solid state battery regulator.

Beware that didital scopes on vehicle ignotion are bound to fail due to HV pulses to 30 kV an dCM noise.

Use a simple xenon timing light or Get a professional ignition Analyzer.

You can see injector pulses, stick coil pulses, and even the crankshaft sensor.

The scope goes to +/- 60 volts when using a x10 probe, which is plenty for automotive use, I believe, plenty for the 3-phase windings, etc.
