Suggestions for Calendar for Windows 10??

Can someone suggest a free simple calendar for Windows 10? I just need something that I can mark up like you would do on a paper calendar. It needs to have the capability to mark ahead for upcoming events and look back at previous events. And it should not be tied to any type of email software like most of them are.

I have found a couple online but the popup ads are irritating.

I use this one call Full Calendar.  Super easy to do.  Virtually drag and drop.

you dont have android smartphone calendar with tasks management? i do since purchase... can look and edit wherever, whenever inside or outside home (PC)... and give me alarm reminder few minutes before events, cool.
