Hi,
My main computer is doing somethinig weird and only now have I understood when it happens. It was doing the USB connect/disconnect sound many times over the day, without me doing anything, much less attaching or removing any USB device.
So I just found out ot happens when I turn on any light in the room (desk light, ceiling light, etc. In fact it happens when I switch on ANY consumer. And it is not a faulty outlet or 6-in-1 plug (don't know the english name). Even the ceiling light will cause it.
I suspect it is the PSU of the computer that is not filtering the ripples correctly any more, perhaps due to dried capacitors. Would that make sense?
Other computers which I operate next to it don't have these symptoms.
There is no apparent device being disconnected, either.
Opinions?
Regards,
Vitor
