Brain bender for EEVbloggers:   :scared: :scared:

If an awesome post/thread has a few pages and would like to 'borrow' for future reading and reference,

is there a specific browser or add on, or something that will save them as one long page etc

or a 'suggested saved format' to PDF, DOC

I suppose one of the spanners might be what happens to any posted pictures or schematics included etc in those pages

Yes, there are/were a few known workarounds from the past but they were not exactly a 'two clicks and save' event

Just wondering what Windows PC folks do about it in 2023   :-//

Top right, click "Print". Then save as a PDF if you want.

If you need the images as well, you'd need another method. Either 50 posts at a time (change in your profile), then save each page with print to PDF. Or look into a script/software:

If you only want the text and small images, print as pdf. If desirable post-process to combine each page's pdf into a single pdf.

I haven't tried it, but my starting point would be wget to save the web pages including expanded images. It would need a careful choice of arguments to avoid saving the entire website.

Multiple invocations, one for each page, might be necessary. Then, if desirable, combine them afterwards.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

If the thread has 'a few' pages like in your question there is an 'all' option. Not sure when it stops but as you can see it still works at 15 pages (25 posts/page):

Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.

IIRC the 'all' pages option is not available when a forum topic has a lot of pages, something like more than 50 pages - I forget the exact number. Reason being that it would place too much demand on the server to load and present that many posts all in one go.

It is unavailable sooner than 50, a thread with 27 pages doesn't have it, but because the OP said 'a few pages' it might help.
Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.
