Hello guys, I'm an engineer from America, and recently, I have finished my project in PCB design, so I need to make it a real board. Any suggestions in which PCB prototyping company I should choose, it would be better the service is free with delivery or a cheap postage.

I am also a spammer and have been banned from these forums... I even seem to share the same IP as Erin.KOU, Dana2475, Florida123 and Tomas007 and as such all these accounts are also now banned.

Just search among your fellow engineers who provide free service and materials with cheap postage for their designs.   I am sure one will know of a PCB house that does the same.

Thanks for your reply. I found a fab according your recommend website: www.pcbshopper.com. Amazing price.  :scared: :scared: :scared: Is that true?  :-[ :-[ :-[

But I already think this because I am paid by them to write this spam, they are desperate to get people to use their service.

There is no way DHL shipping will be free. And it is better to use PCBWay, Allpcb is PCBWay, but with price gouging.

Also, this looks like spam for ALLPcb.

They do seem to advertise Free shipping now. But they are known for chaining their mind after you've paid for the order, and explaining it with system errors, so buyer beware.

I stick with iTead or oshpark.com. Also SeedStudio and Dirtypcb are quite time-proven.

But I have heard about ALLPCB had an activity aimed at there American and Canadian customer these days, free delivery is provided for them, and I have placed an order at their website,  the price is reasonable for my 10 boards.

I am the same person as the original poster, look at me, I agree with myself... I need to see a doctor...

Yeah, you are also a spammer. Are Chinese people that dumb, or they just don't care?

Also, Allpcb is a very sketchy place. It is only worth it with free shipping and for non-critical stuff. With full shipping, or if you care that things are done right - look the other way.

I am not a spammer.   And I have no interests in AllPCB's business. I've never accepted any paymetn for any comment.

I have placed regular orders with Allpcb, since they started operations, and while they have changed their business operations over the time,  I would just like to give you my perspective of where it is today;

(a) They are a bonafide small manufacturer, making their own boards now. they previously outsourced, but not after they acquired a factory of their own.

(b) THe pcbs i've had delivered to me, have been of good quality, and what i ordered, with the exception of one order, which when the problem was pointed out they sent me a replacement at no cost to me.

(c) The delivery times have been 95%+ as expected. Often they have been better than stated.  4 layer boards, out the door in 2 days and on my bench in 5 days total.. ( DHL from china to NZ is a vry good service )

(d) there are probalby cheaper things, but its not a lot in it, and these guys have looked after me well.  and the pricing is good.

I have had a chat with Erin today, because she did not understand why she has been banned.  I can see why they have been banned, and they have exhibited some bad judgement.  It's a cultural and language thing.       Some of those bogus accounts that are listed, are indeed All PCB staffers, they are not Erin though. They are the 'sales team' trying to drum up business.

I've been doing business in china for long enough to know that many of hte issues that happen can be sorted out by a bit of talking.

Well, they've been talked to plenty. And the only thing that works is banning.

It is not like Pcbway does not actively encourage spam.

When you want to drum up business, it may be a good idea to learn the culture of your customers. Or just go and spam Chinese forums, if this is considered normal in their culture.

Also, free shipping is a good deal, I would have liked to know about it from a legitimate post. Why spam?

Just curiously, how many orders have you placed with Allpcb yourself?  I was wondering what the basis for the "Also, Allpcb is a very sketchy place." was?

The price went up after I already paid, so I was presented with a need to pay extra. This was explained by the "system upgrade". I requested a refund, and they only do store credit, not an actual refund.

In the end it is more expensive than Pcbway. They advertise to be fast, but in practice Pcbway is fast enough.

This a problem that plagues many PCB manufacuturers.    The web form asks you for various details ( size, color, finsihe etc, spacing etc etc ), and they compute your price off that,  you pay for it, and then it starts to get audited and manufactured.

THe PCB manufacturers are constantly getting gerbers for projects that dont' match the specs for their DRC rules or the parameters that are speced.   Its not resoanble for them to have to spend the time to audit files before they are paid for.

SOlder masks are a classic example.   People are constantly sending files with solder mask slivers ( or bridges ) that are too small to be manufactered. Or as they get smaller they get harder to make and the chance of faults gets higher ( yeilds go down, prices go up ).    If you want to ahve .12mm slivers expect to pay a LOT more than .18mm for example.

Yes, I wonder how many people send off their files without actually looking carefully at their Gerbers first?

Some of those bogus accounts that are listed, are indeed All PCB staffers, they are not Erin though. They are the 'sales team' trying to drum up business.

Erin's account clearly states she is the "ALLPCB, Sales manager, erin.kou@allpcb.com", as such she is in control of the sales team, and the other accounts all come from the same IP address. No excuses here.

In deed, i had a good chat with her last night, and she understands now why what has happened has happened.  I hope a bit of a timeout and some changes on their end will be a good lesson for them, and that they wont' do it again.     Its not an excuse but it a reason,  its where cultures, language and other things don't align.   I have been urging them to ditch the 'rewards for comments' program because its counterproductive to them.

These guys made a bit of a akward start, and they are still finding their feet a bit, but touch wood so far they have really looked after me.. And i expect our business volume and value to increase.   That being said, spam is never acceptable!

That would be one thing, but

is apparently a series of blatant lies.

It's one thing to turn up and, not knowing the culture or rules, promote your product clumsily or even blatantly. It is another thing entirely to turn up and outright lie to deceive someone into doing business with you. It is not the act of an honourable person and not the act of a company that one would trust to do business with.

I'm sorry, but one can't pass off blatant dishonesty as 'cultural differences'. A bit of baksheesh, maybe, but outright shamefaced lies, no. I'm sure that the cultural similarities are such that the OP's grandmother would be just as ashamed of their behaviour as mine would have been of me had I done the same thing.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

I sent off a board to pcbway a couple of weeks back. It had a faulty footprint that would have been obvious if I had checked the gerbers properly. I didn’t because I was in a hurry. I was very grateful that they pointed it out to me and I was able to fix it. Also I had a few vias in pads that were smaller than their minimum. I said it was ok if they came out a bit larger. They said no, we will do them as per the files. Very good service. I’ll be using them again for sure.
