za-pet advertising quackery as a virus zapper
« on: April 10, 2020, 12:25:59 am »

This site is selling an overpriced square wave generator as a cure-all za-pet.com/buy-now. The "tech" is based on Hulda Regehr Clark's quackery who ironically died from blood and bone cancer, yep this unit really cured that cancer.

They have added lots of info to make it sound like this $235 buzzer is doing something special :P

"Our zapper uses a standard 9 volt battery to power a 30 kHz (50%) square wave frequency generator whose output is offset by 0.25 volt so that the polarity is always positive. The batteries generally have 9.2 volt when new, our zapper can output almost 9 volts where as our competitors are lucky to output 7.5 volts, which is important when you realize that you need at least 5.5 volts to get past the skin’s natural resistivity."

These are the sort of people that would claim 5G is a virus trigger, so lets shock the virus away.

"For users to feel the voltage would require in the order of 25 volts which is unacceptable when you consider that to kill a virus only requires a voltage of 6-9 volts at a current of only 0.0001 Amps, that’s 100th of one millionth of an amp. Our zappers put out approx 15-20 mA which is still 20,000 times higher than that required to kill viruses."

Dave do your worse :).

The original unit is extremely simple, there is no way they can justify that price.

Wait, first radiation is CAUSING viruses, now radiation will KILL the viruses? Which is it?

ALso, if it's outputting a 9V p-p square wave, how does a .25V offset make it always positive? Either it goes from 0 to +9 or close to that, never below 0, or if it is a square wave centered around 0, it would take a 4.5V offset to raise the lowest level to 0 so it never goes negative. What am I missing here?

The fact that the people making this are stupid and don't know real science or mathmatics. ::)

If 15-20mA actually passed through you, you'd be convulsing and soon dead. Even the Big Clive couldn't take more than ~14mA in a very ill-advised experiment he did...

0.0001 amps is one 10th of one thousandth of an amp.
