Probably because they actually DO work, just never anywhere near as well as the makers claim. I see on their seasonal expected production map of the US, they do say my area is all the way down there near the 0L per day end of the scale in Winter. Which is about right, the air gets very dry here. Even this early, not even Winter yet. Over the Summer, the dehumidifier in my basement struggled to keep things below 50% RH, and required frequent emptying of the bucket. Right now, it's maintaining 35% and I haven;t emptied the bucket in 2 days. The bucket holds 11 pints, 5.2 liters. In Summer it filled up 2-2/12 times in a 24 hour period, so 13 liters of water. I don't know what the production is now, as I haven't let it fill up to see how many days it will day, but I doubt much more than 1 liter per day. And that's with the application of a LOT on energy to extract the water. 545 watts, for 23 hours (it automatically shuts down for 1 hour a day regardless of humidity) per the specifications.

Thunderfoot already did a debunk on this some time ago. He mentions it in his latest video on the demise of WaterSeer.

Will this never end?  |O

I have an idea to improve it.

Attach gutters to it, so when it rains, the production goes up.

Where do I get the patent?

No idea how it works.
Maybe a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign would be better. At least I can make money off that...

I guess it could have a chance of yielding some useful amount of water only in regions where there is actually no shortage of water. Who would have thought. That sucks. :-DD

Well, I guess they've watched one too many nature films without really paying attention, about how the desert comes to live periodically when even a little rain falls.

I'm not too worried if I can't pull water out of the air around here, I have a spare 40K gallons of the stuff right in my yard in the form of a swimming pool. And right next to my house are two large water towers that feed the community - worst case, I can cut everyone else off and dole it out, at least until the military shows up and forces me out. No idea how much those tanks hold, they are huge.

Plus - when it's hot in the Summer and I really need a drink, then I CAN pull water out of thin air  :-DD

Yes, but not as creative in terms of marketing.
