I feel really bad for people that were fooled by their marketing and spend their money on this bs Instead of expanding their music library.

37k € power cord is absolutely hilarious. I bet it's just regular power cord in a fancy enclosure.

The HSE has issued a directive on those, saying they shouldn't be used, as
In another life I had to demonstrate to an Ofsted (Education) inspector just exactly why those things were stupid, and even pointed them at the HSE report... Apparently the council standards required them in child care facilities, idiots.

The german sockets really show their advantage here - there are small round platters with mechanically connected or rotating shutters available, which go right into the sockets and are almost impossible to pry out, at least for kids. Easy to retrofit for old sockets. It is common to use sockets with integrated shutters nowadays tough, it is even possible to just exchange the old faceplate on a couple of designs...

ALL UK 13A sockets have shutters built in (And always have) it is a mandatory part of the standard.

The cheap ones operate the shutters by the insertion of the earth pin (Which is longer to make contact first), the good stuff (MK) operate the shutters off the earth pin then simultaneous insertion of the live and neutral pins.

The fact that the 'Safety' covers defeat the BUILT IN safety interlock required for approval, and can sometimes be inserted upside down (Leaving the line and neutral shutters open and accessible) is what makes them fucking stupid.

These things might have made sense back in the 1940s and 50s when unshuttered round pin sockets were still commonplace, but they were always a stupid idea when applied to the 13A socket.
