Fastfox smart sensor band?

Hi All,
I just came across this: http://www.pozible.com/project/187863 which seems to be a sensor band sending fitness data to a watch using bluetooth. I am not sure I believe their specifications of 4-6 months of use, 19 months of standby on a coin cell, nor that an accelerometer, bluetooth chip and various glue can be had for 8 dollars to the end consumer... Should I stay away?

You probably should, as the campaign is just photoshopped images and marketing wank with no actual specs or prototypes to be seen anywhere.
