Hi guys, I would like to get your opinion on the Kickstarter project called Luba. It looks almost too good to be true :D

Maybe I am just spoiled.  My mower has 25 HP, cuts a 60" width, and goes a up to 6+ mph.  It takes me several hours for a not very careful cut of my yard,

That mower cuts 0.4 m (16") width.  5000m^2 = a square yard 71m per side.  Without overlap, it requires 177 passes.  At 1 m/s (walking speed, about 2 mph), it would require 3.5 h (more with overlap).  All that with a 10 Ah battery?  It claims 1500 m^2 per charge, so 3 charges per 5000  m^2 (if charged to start).

That mower is not for me.  Maybe for a small plot of grass, like a family plot in a cemetery.

That gadget is intended for EU market, it seems.
A 5000m2 grass yard is called "the National park" in EU  ;D
Readers discretion is advised..

Interesting perspective.  According to Wiki, Liechtenstein has a total area of about 40,000 acres (62 mile^2).  Bill Gates owns 242,000 acres of farmland in the US and is buying more.  I am sure his yard is bigger than mine.

They've already designed and built the product, so you'll get something.
No guarantee it won't be garbage though.

Hard to believe it would last long in the rain like this

What's the problem with the rain?

I assume the gif is for illustration - showing it head to base at the first sign of a few drops wouldn't really carry the idea across. But, nevertheless, lots of things do survive outside in poor weather.

My mower has no garage but is parked below some small bush (like 70cm high or so), that's just for the better looks, not a lot of "protection". Our weather conditions are pretty rough, like 140 days with rain - and always windy. Still that below-300EUR-mower is now doing his job for the third year, flawlessly. So with a bit of careful design, it should be doing fine outside.

Looks pretty neat tbh.  When it can get up and down the steps between the different terraces of my garden I may be in the market.
