Yay! Glad you finally shipped them. That looked like a giant pain in the backside.

Excellent news.

I got lucky this week, it seems all the crowd funded projects I have backed have shipped.

It's good news for me because I got burned real bad on a project a few years back and I just decided to try again.  I lost almost $1000 USD on a project

BB3 fulfillment, week #37 update

The shipment is still traveling, reportedly due to arrive in Dallas, Texas today via Paris, France. This is a tracking number.

Why it doesn’t surprise me: this moment I got an update from DHL that the shipment was kept in Paris due to the air carrier backlog. The new expected time of arrival in Dallas, Texas is Sept., 24th.

Given Tropical Storm Beta currently inundating Texas, I'm:
  • not terribly surprised at a delay getting to texas
  • totally OK with waiting to not have my power supply get wet moving it out of an airplane

Cool to be able to follow the tracking!

Delivered yesterday, so all I have to do now is wait for CrowdSupply to fly my package back to Europe  ::)

The anticipation grows!

Yes, yesterday DHL delivered everything to Mouser. The next checkpoint I guess would be that BB3 appear on Mouser pages. When the status there changes from "On order" to "In stock" we can say that you could get your unit soon. Now it can be said with a great deal of certainty that this will happen before Christmas :)

Do you know when we can expect Crowdsupply to ship the backed units?

Seeing that Mouser has at least some units on Stock, supposedly ready for shipping, and offers free shipping, i am a bit annoyed at Crowdsupply...
I paid them $90 for shipping alone...

I really don’t know what to say and communication with CS is rarely in real time. Looking at some other campaigns I see that everything needs to show up at the Mouser stock first to move on. This happened last week, for all items except individual DCP and DCM modules (don't know why since I sent them all together). I don’t know how synchronized CS and Mouser are when it comes to setting dates, but it would be high time it finally moved towards backers. Maybe it really happens tomorrow, which will be seen when the stock changes.

...and the person on the other end of Mouser's Chat had no idea as to what I was talking about.   :palm:

I don't know, but that sounds to me like something that could make more harm then any good. It's obvious that they'll start with shipping any moment now, and I would like to ask for just a little more patience.

I'd just be patient  about it. Had bad experiences in the past when trying to hurry people up -- they start doing mistakes, race conditions with other departments, etc.

Looks like they finished scanning in enough that they are now showing stock for all parts!

Congratulations on finding the new contractor! Also cool to see the automation of tests.

While some of you might hate me for this, I have to share it with you. This is part of my post-trauma therapy following the experience with Bolek & Lolek Enterprise.

This morning the first batch of the DCP405 module from the new contractor arrived and left me speechless. The devil is in the details: the modules arrived safely in cardboard boxes separated by grids. There is also silica gel in each bag. Each module has a sticker (and two painted dots) for quality control.
And yes, the yield rate is 100%. How do I know that in advance? Well, they used our Node-RED + BB3 solution (mentioned in CS update) for testing which records test results directly into the PostgreSQL database on our server. Bolek & Lolek Enterprise could complain that they did not have something like that at their disposal to increase the yield rate. However, this is not true because all but one of the new modules have passed all the tests in the first attempt! This is not surprising because the new contractor, instead of using lies and deception, knows his job very well and, among other things, uses automated and human visual control, so then the results are not surprising. One that did not pass from the first attempt was subsequently tested probably after an additional inspection and then it also passed.

I cannot describe my sadness that the backers who helped in the realization of this project will not be able to get new modules. :palm:

This is great news! Genuinely really happy for you, and all part of the (frustrating at times!) learning curve I guess. Keep up the good work.

I'm not too worried about getting a "LOLOLOL-ek assembled" board as long as it works and has a happy life pushing out amperes.  :-DMM

all but one of the new modules have passed all the tests in the first attempt!

I wonder what happened to that poor module. Did it pass from the second attempt, or you needed to fix it?

From the test report I can see that it had a problem with the HW OVP test. They removed the problem without our assistance. It was probably something trivial.

Well, so many leading zeroes. You *are* confident, are you? :P  :-+
Great that you have such a good experience with your new assembler, i'm glad to hear that.

Ha, ha, I expected such question. No, we just made field in the database big enough to accept STM MCU unique ID number that is huge, e.g. 002A003D3338510738323535
