Something doesn't seem right...and that's before even considering the ridiculous concept.

Some sort of scent cartridge/mixing device...send scents by messaging...assuming you have the right cartridges, that is.

Cruder attempts have been around for a while and the technology is maturing:

Of course you will have to create your own smells if it's something that is not in the database already.

Edit: but it will probably fail like the iSmell did because the use cases are ridiculous low.

Thanks in part to E-cigarrete companies who are dumping millions into scent R&D this sounds quite doable using current tech, at least they're in a much better position than previous projects.

You just gave me a fantastic idea for a stretch goal on my Kickstarter campaign! If I get to €1,000,000 I'll add a small spark generator to ignite farts, so that the user can enjoy the classic "light my fart" joke whenever they feel like it!

Well don't stop there, coat it in thorium dioxide and you could be the creator of the world's first Fart Flashlight app (as well as give a new, genuine, meaning for "radioactivate fart")
