Rare "Sunday" dinner time.
« on: September 24, 2024, 03:15:35 pm »
I eat like crap.  Then I get a notion and go to the other end of the spectrum.

Tonights:
1kg beef brisket, pot roasting in caramelised onions, mixed garden veg, garlic and basil.  4 hours @150C
Brisket gravy w/ Yorlshire puddings.  This time sieved I think.
Small amount of mash w/ butter.  (25min boil)
Small number of roast potatoes. (10min boil, 20min roast).
Brocoli in cheese sauce w/ grilled cheddar.  (Sauce pan, Microwave, grill)

Should end up with 2-3 servings + half the brisket for something else.

Shortened the pot roast as I was "hank marvin".

Only whoopsy was the roasties got blasted by the grill by doubling up the brocoli cheese.  over done on one side, still slightly hard in the middle.  Just boil them the full 20 mins next time.
