Agreed - I am hopeful that Nilu J and David K are sufficiently shocked when the learn the taxes alone are more than a Toyota Corolla. It will be hard to cough up nearly $20k on top of some student loans.

The FFT is rather strong in this model. It is, after all, an oscilloscope first. The Tek is the only scope with built in SA, but the scope itself is not strong or capable of 6Ghz - only the SA can go 6Ghz.

The FFT on my (older generation) MSO6054A is better in some important respects than a lot of spectrum analyzers I've used.

I quite like that other guy that doesn't beg constantly, he has a really nice vid and that Indian girl is nice too. Not sure why they need such a 'scope, but I hate beggars constantly pushing themselves in my face.

Hopefully the cheaters and beggars lose and the nice guy gets the insane scope that is totally OTT.

It's called campaigning. When there is $70k on the line, you angle for success.

With as many votes as the others have - they are begging as much or more. It's just not on the EEVBlog where you can see it. I have never said they are not nice or their videos had any problems - I have only pointed out that they have a poor use case relative to what I presented. Naturally this is my sole opinion and everyone gets to make their own decision about who should win for whatever reason - be it how nice they are or the technical reason they want an ultra-high-end scope.

I can offer you the feeling of doing a good thing for someone that has a genuine need. There is not much else to offer.

I am in a very tight spot and really want to get my head above water - winning this contest will go a long way toward making that happen. Not sure there is much else to say.

My daily driver is a TDS754C, it has served me well and surprisingly, the CRT is still quite bright. No complaints considering its advanced age.

I do like the chart.

I see some patterns emerging.

David has 3 jumps, each of which would seem to be the result of successful campaigns - but in between, the increase is almost flat.  I imagine he has had to work hard for those jumps, but I would wonder if he is going to run out of audiences - or defeat his purpose by excessive pestering.

Nilu has a more regular pattern, cycling every day.  The variance in voting rates indicates to me that she has a stronger support base located in adjacent time zones.  (I would be interested to see whether these voting cycles continue with the same magnitude over the weekend.)

Carlos has a similar daily pattern, but the variance is notably less.  This suggests to me that his support is more global.  He just needs more people.

This is true, most of my people are shooting TV and movies all over the planet. My sisters are in the UK right now trying to get their group to engage over the weekend.

At this point, I doubt anyone would question my commitment to winning the Test To Impress contest. My sisters offered to spread the word via a big Cheerleading and Dance competition that they organize and run in London. The asked if I could give them some material to engage the young people and get them to vote all weekend. There will be a lot of people there and they are the leaders, highly respected. Let's see what happens when a large (arena venue) captive and connected audience is asked to vote.
