Hello, I'm working with Circuitstudio, my biggest limitation thus far has been I can't seem to find a way to make a "generic" footprint that I can use for multiple parts. The problem is that I can't figure out how to map multiple pins to the same designator without just renaming them that designator in the PCB design. For example if a chip has multiple pins to ground, I can't just list the pins i.e. 1,4, 7 in the pin mapping in the schematic library. It seems Circuitmaker operates on a 1:1 Designator to Designator workflow, meaning that if I have multiple parts using the same QFN-16 chip, I would have to make a footprint instance for every part due to the fact multiple GNDs and VCCs exist.
That being said, I am extremely knew to the Circuitmaker "ahem Altium" workflow and would appriciate ANY help figuring out these design flow quarks of the program.
