What are these antistatic 'clamshell' shipping boxes called?
« on: April 24, 2018, 02:23:40 pm »
Hi all-

I'd like to buy some of this style shipping box for large circuit boards.  I got these years ago and they are pretty worn out.  The problem is I do not remember what they are called or where I obtained them from!   :palm:

The outside dimensions are roughly 22 inches by 19 inches.  If you know what these are called - or even better where I can order small quantities - that would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Uline has a large selection of boxes, foam, bubble wrap, etc. That may help you find what you want:

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

I guess the black stuff isn't ESD safe, is it?
Does it matter when you use an ESD-safe bag around it the board? No. So, that would be cheaper. It's probably just normal foam.
