Genuine Hakko Tips in Germany / EU
« on: February 26, 2021, 01:39:53 am »
Hello,

I am wondering whether there is a shop in Germany that really offers lots of tips from Hakko. Specifically, I'm currently looking for a place where I can get T18-D32, T18-DL2, T18-CSF25.
Until now, the only German shop that has them all is soldering24.de, but they seem to have a minimum order limit, if you don't exceed that, they charge you 25 bucks extra  :-DD
Watterott doesn't have them all, but I'm considering getting a T18-D32, T18-D24 and T18-C2 instead of my preferred set of tips from them (~25€ shipped).

Another option I'm considering is to buy from Italy (batterfly.com), where the tips will be ~20€, but another ~20€ of shipping will bring the total to around 40€. Still, this seems the option I'm leaning towards, better buy what I really want instead of compromising and then being unhappy for 15 euro. IDK.

Are there any German shops with a good assortment of Hakko tips?
I'm sorry if I overlooked something obvious, but I've searched for at least an hour before posting this!  :-\

Thanks in advance!

This probably doesn't help any more thanks to brexit, but I used hkw.co.uk who is an authorized Hakko dealer in the UK. No minimum limits, but there was no free shipping either. 😔

I found them from the hakko website, so you might try looking for such dealers in Germany.

Regardless, the price of the parts and the shipping I was expecting to be much worse from an authorized dealer, but was not really that bad.

Thanks, I’m interested! Maybe the shipping is lower than from Italy :D
Oh I forgot to mention, the one from Italy is also an official distributor of hakko.

Edit: It seems their page is not translated to English and when using yandex to do so, I can't find any tips.

Yeah looking on the Hakko site was what I had done, but there was only that one German reseller and they charge 25€ fee for being under a "minimum limit" that I couldn't find exactly what it was and, like some other Hakko resellers from the Hakko page (in other EU countries) seemed to be geared heavily towards large commercial customers.

Might want to consider switching to T12.

But that means complete retooling, so could be pricey.
Plus the official stations are pretty expensive and the Cheepeese clones (available on ebay/Ali/...) are exceptionally s****y designs, mainly safety wise (speaking about the mains powered ones, coming with the "nice" extruded Al enclosures).
If you want to DIY and have some decent "notebook" power supply, it may be quite cheap way to get rather useful "station".

But with them I ended up with the controller completely designed and programmed from scratch...

They're not that bad, i've been using the Bakon 950d and it's been pretty reliable, except for me screwing the temp cal by carelessly pressing buttons.
It's like 25 bucks and takes T12 tips, but you can get just the bare controllers for like 10 bucks and use your own 24V power supply with them if you're worried about safety.
