OK Time to re-start this merry-go-round !! All aboard, have your tickets ready and hang on !!
The bearing are shot and the gearbox is slipping, but you wouldn't miss the ride for anything.
Hello <tap> <tap> .. is this thing on?

6 hours to go.. Wet, cloudy, zeroC (thankfully not ZeroK). Perfect time to stay inside, watch Netflix and read this forum.

May 2013 be the best one yet.

Under 6 hours, and heavy rain is falling............ 14mm in the last hour..........

Always rains Christmas or New Year in Durban. Nice and cool after the hot and humid week.

Watched Sydnes fireworks live earlier today. Was pretty spectacular. I'd not be the person receiving those bills.

also, Happy new year!

Crappy weather, pissing with rain, cold :(
Apparently, I have to go out and drink alcohol.  :-// In my opinion, alcohol should only be consumed in vast quantities when you are outside and within easy reach of a fire on which to cook.
I'd rather stay in and watch Youtube and read the forum. The new year will start anyway :)

But, Happy New Year everyone :)

Well, got the rain, and it is cool, 28C........... Seems to have stopped for the moment, but I am not driving tonight, way too many drunk drivers and even drunker pedestrians. When I was out today biggest queue was that for the bottle stores, nowhere else. Spending on the never never to have booze that tomorrow will be in a sewer along with a hangover and regrets. Alcohol is great as a marinade for the steak, especially beer, which does double duty as marinade and fire extinguisher if you use very fatty Boerewors ( not the cheap stuff, the real thing made either by a speciality butcher or at home) or nice thick beef steak. Better is certain game, still waiting for a warthog........

Nearly 6 hours to go here. It's cold and wet outside, all the more reason (as if I needed one anyway) to stay indoors with a beer and a movie.

Have a good one everybody, may the magic smoke stay safely confined.

Happy New Year.....

I figure I'll enjoy tomorrow and prepare for the epic failures yet to come here in the states.  Sadly I just don't think it's going to be a stable year.   One can always hope for the best.

But for now..party on.

Jeff
