Looking for "Must see" nerd stuff in SF bay area
« on: August 06, 2013, 12:05:39 am »
I'll be in SF in a couple of weeks for a (non-electronics-related) conference, and I may have a half day or so on my own in the middle.  I used to work as an engineer in Mountain view, in a prior life, so I thought I'd pop down check out the nerd scene.  I was in the area a couple of years ago, but didn't have much time.  I did stop by Weird Stuff and Halted, but they were a pale shadow of their former glory.  This time, I'm planning on spending at least a couple of hours at the computer history museum.  Any other nerd havens I shouldn't miss?  Are there any regular electronics-related gatherings?  Unfortunately, I will just miss the 1st Saturday sale.

Thanks for any heads up!

Dave

You'll want to block off an entire day for gawking on that one. Seriously

I was there for 5 hours and wasn't enough

I will if I can :-)  I was hoping to catch the 1st Saturday flea market at De Anza College, but it looks like it got rescheduled to Sept. 7.
